Ten people were injured early Sunday morning when someone opened fire with a high-powered assault rifle outside of a restaurant where known gangsters were celebrating the birthday of accused drug dealer Darren Cunningham.
No arrests have been made in the shooting.
Among the guests at the party were the Askari brothers, who police say are tied to a major gang. An attempt on Sahand Askari's life was made in a Vancouver suburb last week.
Bloody jeans taken as evidence outside Vancouver General Hospital are believed to belong to Paul Alexander Araki. Documents show a man by the same name has a criminal history that includes firearms charges.
