Vagos pleads to 2nd-degree murder in Nev. shootout

A member of the Vagos motorcycle gang who police blamed for starting a fight that led to the killing of a rival Hells Angel in a Nevada casino shootout has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. Gary Rudnick is the former head of the Vagos Los Angeles chapter. He entered the guilty plea Friday in Washoe District Court in the Sept. 23 shooting death of Jeffery Pettigrew, president of the Hells Angels San Jose chapter. Police say Rudnick repeatedly taunted Pettigrew until Pettigrew threw a punch and the casino floor turned into a shooting gallery.
